So Ive seen online sources confirming that the mid 2012 13' MacBook Pro can indeed support 16GB of RAM in a 8GB x 2 configuration. Replaced these, amazingly they still make the charger. Found the issue was both the 1-way chip in the MagSafe AND the battery had died. Figured this could be of use to someone.I rescued a mid-2012 13" MBP from the recycling pile.
